BookStand put under fire!

This is so fucked up...

Paypal has shot out a warning to BookStand that if they do not remove any and all books that have a hint of incest (including 'stepbrothers' or 'stepsisters'), rape, and if any bookcovers that are crotch shots, show a hint of female nipples or butt crack.

Well, that takes Deadly Secrets off their sellers list. ( ̄д ̄;)

Deadly Secrets...

Rape? Check, but no penetration.

Incest? I never thought so, but it falls under "pseudo incest", so...check.

Any nudity on the book cover? Jamie's (who is on the cover) shirt is open, and I drew nipples on him once. Does that count? Because he is suppose to be a girl in the book ;p Does cross-dressing fall into the rules?

So all in all...

"Ah! Onii-san!Yamete kudasai" is now forbidden! (All you yaoi fans out there knows what this means ;p)

If you're attracted to sexy book covers...it will now have a whole bunch of these to block the yummy parts.

But its for your own good. How do we know? Because we said so. ψ(*`ー´)ψ

Stand strong BookStand!

  1. *shakes head* Are they serious? Man, what is happening to this world (>____<*)

I hope BookStrand will stay strong and tell them in clear words where they can shove their demands...

  2. Ahh, so news has it that BS will be complying to PP's demands.

    List of restrictions

I fell bad for all the authors whose publishers need to pull their books from BS. Granted my 'rape' scene was in no way to titillate the scenes, but the fact that the rape was between stepbrothers is more than enough to get it pulled. Sad :<

  3. OMG!
I've seen worse rape scenes and incest scenes in books. I can't believe your book is being pulled from BS.

    *reads restrictions*
Okay, there goes a lot of books I know which have unacceptable pictures. *sighs*
What is the world coming to? We've all accepted the "gay" and its problems.....and some people just struggle to cope with little problems such as pictures on a book cover...

    *shakes head sadly*

  4. Ahh, so it seems it isnt really Paypal, but Visa and mastercard that is making these demands.

Why the hell would they care? And what does this mean to porn sites? I'm not innocent, thy eyes have seen many a nasty flick that consists of "No, Daddy, no!". So what will happen to all of those types of sites?
